Refund policy

1. Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with Articles L.221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, the customer has a period of fourteen (14) days from the date of receipt of the product to exercise their right of withdrawal, without having to give reasons. This right applies to in-stock items.

In accordance with Article L.221-28 3° of the French Consumer Code, made-to-order or personalized jewelry is excluded from the right of withdrawal and cannot be returned or refunded on the basis of a change of mind, as these items are produced specifically to the customer's specifications and cannot be resold as is.

This exclusion does not affect the customer's rights in the event of a manufacturing defect or non-conformity of the product (see Section 5 and the legal warranties).

2. Return Conditions (in-stock items only)

To be eligible for a return, the product must:

- be unworn.

- be unused.

- be in perfect condition.

- be returned in its original packaging.

- show no signs of wear, scratches, or damage.

Any product showing signs of use, even minimal, may be refused or give rise to a reduced refund reflecting the depreciation of the item. The direct cost of return shipping is borne by the customer.

3. Return Procedure

Before sending any return, the customer must contact AUPIEL at: contact@aupiel.fr. No return will be accepted without prior approval. The product must be returned without undue delay and at the latest within fourteen (14) days following notification of withdrawal.

4. Refund

After receipt and inspection of the returned product, the refund will be issued using the original payment method, within fourteen (14) days of AUPIEL being informed of the withdrawal. AUPIEL may withhold the refund until the goods are recovered or until the customer provides proof of dispatch, whichever is earlier. Where the customer chose a delivery method more expensive than the standard option offered, the supplementary cost is not refunded.

5. Manufacturing Defects and Non-Conformity

Independently of the right of withdrawal, all jewelry — including made-to-order items — benefits from the legal warranty of conformity (Articles L.217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code) and the warranty against hidden defects (Articles 1641 to 1648 of the French Civil Code). These legal warranties cannot be excluded or limited.

In the event of a manufacturing defect or non-conformity, the customer is invited to contact AUPIEL at contact@aupiel.fr, where possible with supporting photographs, promptly after discovering the issue. After review, AUPIEL may offer a repair, a replacement, or a refund.

The legal warranties do not cover damage resulting from misuse, impact, normal wear, oxidation, or improper care occurring after delivery, as these do not constitute a lack of conformity or a hidden defect.

6. Lost or Damaged Parcels

All shipments are sent with a tracking number; some high-value shipments may be sent by registered or insured mail. AUPIEL's responsibility applies until delivery is confirmed by the carrier, in accordance with Articles L.216-4 and L.216-5 of the French Consumer Code.

In the event of a loss confirmed by the carrier after investigation, AUPIEL will, at its discretion, reship the product or issue a refund. No responsibility can be held in the following cases: an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer; refusal of the parcel; or failure to collect the parcel within the time limits set by the carrier.
